welcome

The benefits of high strength, low weight and high resistance to fatigue have meant that composites are already widely used in military aircraft and are becoming increasingly used within civil aircraft. Insensys fibre optic strain sensing is a natural partner for aerospace applications, both composite and metallic structures. The sensors can be easily fitted to components with minimal intrusion, to form an intelligent, self sensing structure. Our approach enables the continuous monitoring of strains and temperatures within the structure, throughout its service life as well as during design development and manufacture.
